Performances of my Three Graces for Clarinet Solo and my Autumn Yearning at the “Exploring New Composers” festival. I’ll be joined by the ensemble Wolf’s Gang.
I will be performing Paul Yeon Lee’s Sanjo for solo flute and Scattered Wind for alto flute (originally deagum) and piano at this new music festival at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
The Five Towns College Swing Band and Jazz Orchestra will be featured in the “Evening of Jazz.” I am the director of both groups.
Premiere of my piece Gentle Rain by pianist Judith Gordon for a special private fundrasing event, “Night Around the Table,” for the Lander-Grinspoon Academy.

NMNMNE’s special music/video project “What If?” will be presented at the Hartford New Music Festival, beginning at 2PM and running continuously throughout the marathon event. This project includes my electronic piece The Ballad of Olga D.
I will be playing flute as a guest of the Five Towns College Guitar Ensemble under the direction of Professor Peter Rogine.
The Five Towns College Wind Ensemble performs my piece Prayer and Passion with myself as guest conductor.
Rome-based ensemble Piccola accademia degli specchi will premiere my Love Letters in the Ether (for flute, soprano sax, violin, cello, piano four-hands), commissioned by them, at the lovely Compagnia per la Musica di Roma.

PAUL HECHT has starred on Broadway opposite such actors as Rex Harrison and Maggie Smith, was a Tony nominee for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and received an OBIE for the title role in Pirandello’s Henry IV. He has a long and varied career in film and television and has directed and appeared in many literary events in NYC, including at least a dozen at Cornelia Street. including last year’s Shakespeare celebration and, in an inspired stroke of typecasting, God in Milton’s Paradise Lost.
