The music of Daniel Felsenfeld has been commissioned and played by Simone
Dinnerstein, The New York City Opera, Ethel, Redshift, the Metropolis
Ensemble, American Opera Projects, the Da Capo Chamber Players, Transit,
Opera on Tap, Two Sense, ACME, the Great Noise Ensemble at Carnegie Hall,
The Kennedy Center, the Kimmel Center, Galapagos, The Kitchen, Miller
Theatre, Le Poisson Rouge, City Winery, Brown University, Harvard University
and Jordan Hall. He guest edited The Score, a column for the New York
Times; collaborated with Rick Moody, Michael Chabon, John Wesley Harding,
Nicole Atkins, the Roots and Jay-z; been a fellow at Yaddo, the MacDowell
Colony, and the Hermitage; taught at Harvard University, New England
Conservatory, and New York City College; wrote eight books and hundreds of
articles. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.
